Sanctuary Estates is a private nature reserve in East Indonesia spanning 85,000 hectares and 129 coral atoll islands within a protected marine area. It is one of the last great oceanic wildernesses on Earth — an untouched world where rainforests, mangroves, coral reefs, and turquoise lagoons remain spectacularly intact. Situated in the heart of the Coral Triangle, opposite Raja Ampat, this vast ecosystem is home to thousands of rare and endangered species including whale sharks, blue whales, giant squid, reef sharks, manta rays, dolphins, orcas, eagles, kingfishers, and parrots.

Exclusively licensed to Sanctuary Estates under full permits granted to its Indonesian company, the reserve is being developed with exceptional sensitivity to its environment. The master plan includes a limited collection of resorts, private island estates, and private island residences — each an exquisitely crafted retreat designed for generational living. Every private island estate will feature a timeless villa with several bedrooms and guest suites, together with a fully equipped boathouse and bespoke facilities such as a private spa or gym. The properties are structured under a Real Estate Investment Trust with full management and rental programs, allowing owners to enjoy both personal fulfilment and attractive returns. Access will be via a private airstrip — a 50-minute charter flight from Ternate — with plans to upgrade to a full private airport capable of welcoming private jets.
